What is IP-MAT?

Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test - IPMAT was Launched by IIM Indore in 2011, the five-year Integrated (BBA + MBA) Programme in Management (IPM) is the first of its kind in India. IPMAT Exam is now conducted by the Indian Institute of Management Indore - IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak Separately.

IPMAT course is a splendid open door for students who are anticipating to be a pioneer in the administration world. The program is organized with a 3-years undergraduate course and a 2-years post-graduate course.

IP-MAT Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for IPMAT is laid down by the conducting body, IIM Indore. It is mandatory to fulfill the IPMAT eligibility criteria in order to appear for the exam. The category-wise academic and age limit criteria are as below:

Academic Qualification

• General and NC-OBC Category - Minimum of 60 per cent aggregate in Standard X/ SSC and Standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations.
• SC/ST and PWD (DA) Category - Minimum of 55 per cent aggregate in Standard X/ SSC and Standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations.

Note: Candidates, who are likely to complete Std. XII or equivalent exam by the end of June of the concurrent academic year, can also apply.

Age Limit

• General and NC-OBC Category - Maximum 20 years
• SC/ST and PWD Category - Maximum 25 years

Note: For academic session 2020-2025, general & obc category candidates should have born on or after 1st Aug, 2000 and reserved sc/st/pwd candidates should have born on or after 1st Aug, 1995.

IP-MAT Exam Pattern of IIM Indore

• IPMAT exam held in a computer-based Aptitude Test (AT) followed by Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). The final selection of candidates will be based on the Composite Scores (CS).

• Aptitude Test - Actually the Aptitude Test consists of two sections. The first section on Quantitative Aptitude is split into two sections – Multiple Choice Question-MCQ and Short Answer Question-SA. The second section is Verbal Ability (Multiple Choice Question-MCQ). So altogether, you can say that it has 3 sections virtually.

IP-MAT Exam Pattern of IIM Rohtak

• IIM Rohtak IPM Admission: Merit List Based on 5 Components - IPM Merit List will be generated based on the composite score. IIM Rohtak has announced weightage to 5 different components in generating final admission list including the IPM Aptitude Test as under.

• IPMAT exam by IIM Rohtak held in a computer-based Aptitude Test (AT) followed by Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI).

IP-MAT Marking Scheme of IIM Indore & IIM Rohtak

• IPMAT is an objective-type test comprising MCQs and Short Answer Type Questions
• Each correct answer carries 4 marks.
• There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer for MCQs.
• There is No Negative marking for Short Answer (SA) questions
• There is sectional cutoff means students have to pass in each section individually
• Candidates must answer the sections in a pre-specified order and this order is same for all the candidates.
• Each section has a time limit..Students have to answer each section one by one.
• The latest sectional scoring scheme given by IIM Indore is as follows

• Apart from clearing the overall cut-off, clearing the sectional cut-off is mandatory as it calls for the short-listing criteria.

IPMAT Application Fees

The IPMAT Application Fees is Rs.3,540/- Including GST for general category/NC-OBC and Rs.1,770/- Including GST for reserved category candidates. Candidates must note that the fee can be paid only in online mode.

IPMAT Selection Procedure

The candidates will be selected on the basis of overall performance in Aptitude Test (AT), Written Ability Test (WAT) & Personal Interview (PI). Any candidate who fails to appear either in AT and WAT & PI or both shall not be considered for selection.

IPMAT All Stages & Procedure

• Step 1: Fill in the Application form
  Candidates willing to appear for IPMAT need to register for the exam. The fee is Rs.3,540/- Including GST for general category/NC-OBC and Rs.1,770/- Including GST for reserved category candidates. Candidates must note that the fee can be paid only in online mode.
• Step 2: Download IPMAT Admit Card
  Candidates who register successfully for the exam will get access to the admit cards. The same will be available at least a week before the date of exam. Registered candidates can download their respective admit cards from the official website by entering their Registered ID and password.
• Step 3: Appear for IPMAT
  IPMAT Exam is conducted in an online mode and the duration of the exam is 2 hours. Registered candidates need to appear for the exam where they will be assessed on Quantitative Ability (Multiple Choice Question-MCQ), Quantitative Ability (Short Answer Question-SA) and Verbal Ability (Multiple Choice Question-MCQ).
• Step 4: Check IPMAT Result
  The result is generally declared within 10-15 day from the date of exam on website of College. Candidates need to enter their application form number, email ID or Date of Birth in order to access their result.
• Step 5: WAT-PI
  Candidates who clear the written test are further called in for the WAT-PI process. Shortlisted candidates need to appear for an Essay writing round and are then interviewed by a panelist of IIM Indore. Shortlisted candidates shall appear for WAT & PI at any one of the eight centres i.e. Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata and Mumbai. where as IIM Rohtak conducts The WAT and PI only in five cities, i.e. Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, and Kolkata.
• Step 6: Category wise merit list
  Only those candidates satisfying the requirements mentioned in earlier stages will be considered for the final selection. Category wise merit list will be generated based on Composite Score (CS) and provisional admission offers will be made accordingly adhering to the Government of India reservation norms.

IP-MAT Cutoff

• IIM Indore - IPM Aptitude Test 2019 Minimum Cut-off marks in each section for the various categories, number of applicants meeting with sectional cut-off.

As per Government of India requirement, reserve seats quota (58.5%) are given below.

• 4% for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)
• 5% for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwD)

Some interesting facts of the IPM – Integrated Programme in Manmagement

• 17,550 students who attended IIM Indore Aptitude Test held on May 10, 2019.
• 6045 candidates appeared in IIM Rohtak IPM Aptitude Test 2019 on 17 May 2019.
• The course fee for resident Indians for the first three years of the IPM would be Rs. 4,00,000/- (Rupees four lakh) per annum and Rs. 6,00,000/- (Rupees six lakh) per annum for International applicant. Course fee for the fourth and fifth years would be as per prevailing Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) fees. The course fee includes lodging, access to lectures, internet facilities and library.
• The programme fees for the resident Indians for the first three years of the IPM programme is Rs. 4,10,000/ - per annum and Rs. 6,20,000/- per annum for international applicants. A programme fee for the 4th and 5th year is as per the prevailing programme fees of PGP Programme.
  
• The course fee for Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) at IIM Indore for resident Indians (for two years) is Rs. 16,00,000/- (Rupees Sixteen Lacs only) and Rs.24,00,000/-(Rupees Twenty Four Lacs only) for NRI Candidates. The course fee includes access to lectures, computer facilities, library etc. It also includes alumni fee and lodging. Course fee does not include cost of textbooks, hostel fees, insurance, etc.
• The fees at IIM Rohtak for 4th & 5th Years is Rs.13,80,000/- (for 2 years).
• The Programme consists of 15 terms spread over a period of 5 years, with each year having 3 terms of 3 months. IPM is in two parts. The first three years build a foundation, and the last two years focus on management.
• Session 2020-25 will be the 10th Batch of 5 Years Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) at IIM Indore.
• Indian Institute of Management Rohtak to induct the first batch of IPM on 3rd August 2019.
• IIM Rohtak is the first IIM to launch an integrated BBA + MBA programme.
• Even though being the first batch, IIM Rohtak received nearly 9000 registrations for the admission process that included IPM Aptitude Test, Written Ability Test and Personal Interview.
• IIM Rohtak is the only IIM in the Delhi-NCR region.
