IBPS conducts exams for post of Clerical Cadre in two different stages: Preliminary Exam and Mains Exam. IBPS Clerk prelim exam is an online exam that tests you on the basis of your aptitude, intellect and English. There are three sections in total and you must clear the IBPS Clerk Cut Off of each section to proceed to the mains exam round. You are required to solve the question paper in the time frame of 1 hour. The composite mark of the paper is 100 and the passing marks is decided by IBPS that is likely to change every year depending on the level of difficulty of the exam.

The major three sections on which a candidate needs complete command are: Reasoning Quantitative Aptitude English Language. To crack IBPS Clerk it is very inevitable for you to become well-versed with the IBPS Clerk Syllabus & Exam Pattern. You need to master are Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning and English Language. The section of English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning is same in both Preliminary Exam and Mains Exam. The only difference is that the Mains Exam of IBPS Clerk Exam has an additional section of Computer Knowledge and General Awareness. You are also required to be master in Computer and must have General Awareness knowledge specifically in the field of Banking. This is to keep in mind that the difficulty level of main exam will be higher than IBPS clerk prelims exam.
The salary of a Clerk in a Public Sector Bank is Rs.18000 to Rs.21000 during the training period. After training period is over, multiple perks and emoluments are added. All these perks and emoluments differ from bank to bank
