What is St Xavier BMS/BBA Entrance Test?

St. Xavier's BMS/BBA Entrance Test(St. Xavier ET) is an entrance test for Admission to the Three Year Degree Courses in Bachelor of Mass Media (B.M.M.) and Bachelor in Management Studies (B.M.S.) at St. Xavier’s Mumbai. St. Xavier’s College is an Autonomous College under the University of Mumbai, Being a Catholic Minority College, 50% of seats are reserved for Catholic Minority students. Students get admissions to the BMS/BBA and BMM courses at St. Xavier College through Entrance Exam and Interview. All UG and PG admissions in this college are valid only for one year and are therefore to be renewed for each subsequent year of study.

Every year, The college receives more than 4000 applications for 120 seats (BMM -60, BMS-60).

St Xavier BBA/BMS Eligibility

Candidates must adhere by the eligibility criteria of St. Xavier’s BMS before filling the application form. St. Xavier’s BMS eligibility criteria is as follows:

• Student must have cleared the class 12th examination from Maharashtra State Board. Candidates qualifying examination other than Maharashtra State Board must issue the provisional eligibility certificate from the University of Mumbai.
• For Christian minority candidates, the Baptism Certificate is a mandatory 
• Those appearing in the qualifying exams later than the above mentioned BMS/BBA Entrance test dates are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply for any of these two Entrance Tests. Aspirants belonging to reserved category must issue the relevant certificates.
• A student will not be re-admitted to the College if he / she has:
  • Had three unsuccessful attempts at the same examination.
  • Been debarred twice within the first four semesters.
  • Serious complaints of indiscipline against him / her in that year
• Candidate must have any of the following documents for the proof of date of birth:
  • School Leaving Certificate, Board
  • Pre-University Certificate
  • Birth Certificate issued by a Competent Authority
• Aspirants must obtain the minimum aggregate marks in the 12th examinations or equivalent as mentioned below:

St Xavier BBA/BMS Exam Pattern

The Question Paper for both the tests will be in English only. There is NO NEGATIVE marking

St Xavier BBA/BMS Syllabus

St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai does not prescribe any specific syllabus for St. Xavier’s BMS 2020. Candidates are advised to follow up with the standard syllabus of class 10th among all boards. For Englsih language candidates must read the novels and develop a habit of reading newspapers for vocabulary and current affairs. The Test for BMS will consist of: Questions on English Language & Comprehension Skills, Logical Reasoning & Visual Reasoning, Data Interpretation, General Knowledge and General Awareness and Mathematics.

St Xavier BBA/BMS Application & Fees

Online Application Form and BMM / BMS entrance test fee is Rs. 3000/-. Candidates are required to make an online payment through the provided payment portal.

St Xavier BBA/BMS Selection Procedure

St. Xavier's Entrance Exam is conducted in two stages, namely written test and interview process to select the students for the BMS program.

If a candidate in the first Merit list fails to complete the admission process within the stipulated date and time as mentioned on the notifications, their candidature stands lapsed. The candidates in the Second and Subsequent merit lists will be offered admission. Candidates who accept the offer of admission shall pay the necessary fees. Fees once paid will not be refunded

• Stage 1will be a written test of 100 marks (Objective Test on the OMR Sheet).
• A Call List for the Interview Round will be made by giving a 60% weightage to the test and 40% weightage to the qualifying XII examination.
• Stage 2will be an interview cum written test (100 marks).
• A Final Meritlist will be made by giving a 70% weightage to the score obtained in Stage 2 and a 30% weightage to the score obtained in Stage 1.
