Why being in final year, I am not able to fill application form of SSC CGL Exam 2026.
If you are going to appear in final year exam in 2027, then you aren’t eligible to apply this SSC CGLE 2026 Vacancy. In SSC CGLE 2026 Notification, it is mentioned that “The candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply, however they must possess essential qualification on or before 01-08-2026”. Since you are in final year but no way you are going to get your final year exam done & degree /certificate released by 1st Aug 2026. Such candidates are advised to wait for SSC CGLE 2027 Exam. The physical requirements vary from post to post and are also different for male and female candidates. Candidates are advised to go through the notification thoroughly before opting the post category as the onus of fulfilling the physical standard criterion will be exclusively be on the candidate opting for such posts.There are certain requisite Physical Standards for Inspector (Central Excise/ Examiner/Preventive Officer), Sub-Inspector in CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) and Sub-Inspector in NIA (National Investigation Agency).

Main highlights of the ssc cgl tier 2 exam
Computer Knowledge Test is mandatory but qualifying in nature. However, while shortlisting the candidates for the posts where Computer Proficiency is prescribed viz.
higher qualifying standards will be set in comparison to other posts.
The “Data Entry Speed Test” (DEST) Skill Test will be conducted for a passage of about 2000 (two thousand) key depressions for a duration of 15 (fifteen) minutes. Detailed instructions regarding Skill Test will be provided by the Regional Offices of the Commission. Information about evaluation of Typing Test/DEST are available on the Commission’s new website https://ssc.gov.in (‘For Candidates’).
No Data Entry Speed Test for PwBD-OH candidates
PwBD-OH candidates are eligible for exemption from attempting DEST, provided such candidates submit a Certificate in the prescribed format (Annexure-XV) to the Commission from the competent Medical Authority, i.e., the Civil Surgeon of a Government Health Care Institution declaring him to be permanently unfit for the Typing Test because of a physical disability
Kindly note that there is no interview conducted for ssc cgl exam. It has an objective and skill test based exam pattern. On the basis of the performance in tier 1 & tier 2 exams, merit list is generated and the candidates who successfully clear all the phases are appointed for the post in the requisite government department or ministry.

Final selection of candidates, in each category, will be made on the basis of overall performance in Tier-II Examination and preference of posts exercised by them.
