Important Notice - After the completion of Re-Examination of June 2024 Exam, now NTA has completed December 2024 Exam between 03rd January 2025 to 16th January 2025. The exam which was scheduled on 15th January 2025 cancelled & re-exam is done on 21st January 2025 & 27th January 2025. Earlier the registration for December 2024 Exam was completed by 11th Dec 2024. UGC NET JRF Eligibility Criteria

The basic criteria that candidates must fulfill to meet UGC NET JRF eligibility criteria are:

• Candidates should secure at least 55 percent aggregate marks in post-graduation
• Candidates should not be more than 30 years in age in order to be eligible for JRF
• There is no age restriction to apply for the post of Assistant Professor
• A relaxation of five percent in educational qualification is given to reserved category candidates
• A relaxation of five years in age criteria is given to reserved category candidates
• Candidates who have cleared State Eligibility Test (SET) before June 1, 2002 are exempted from taking the UGC NET exam.

UGC NET JRF Exam Pattern

UGC NET is conducted in online mode and the questions in both the papers are objective in nature. As per the revised exam pattern of UGC NET exam, there is no negative marking for incorrect answer. Earlier the exam was conducted for three papers. With effect to the introduced changes, the exam of UGC NET is conducted for two papers.
